A special update from Phnom Tamao: our two rescued baby elephants, Lomphat and Chanam, are thriving!

You may remember that late last year, we rescued Lomphat and Chanam, two young elephants in need of urgent care. Thanks to your support, Lomphat’s snare wound has now fully healed, and both elephants are healthy, playful, and bonding beautifully. Since Lomphat was rescued, she has put on an impressive 268kg and Chanam has gained nearly 300kg. They are quick to let everyone know when they are hungry.

Recently, they’ve begun taking daily forest walks with their keepers, an important step in building their strength, confidence, and natural skills. These walks also allow them to explore their surroundings safely, slowly introducing them to their new habitat. These updates highlight the incredible dedication of our team and the progress of our young elephants.

Thank you for standing with us in protecting Cambodia’s wildlife and keeping to our mission to never turn an animal in need away.
