Suwanna Gauntlett

Suwanna Gauntlett founded Wildlife Alliance over 25 years ago, after dedicating her life to frontline conservation across the globe from saving Siberian tigers in Russia and sea turtles in India, to expanding the Galápagos Marine Reserve and dismantling the Southeast Asian wildlife trade. In Cambodia, she established the country’s first wildlife law enforcement unit, trained hundreds of park rangers, and protected 17,478 km² of the Cardamom Rainforest, one of the most significant conservation achievements in Asia. After stepping down from her executive role, she continues to serve Wildlife Alliance as a board member.
