The growing trend of advertising wildlife for sale on Facebook means the Wildlife Rapid Rescue Team (WRRT) must diversify investigative techniques. Two large busts of wildlife parts, the first following a successful investigation into a Facebook entry advertising bear paws, resulted in confiscations of cat skins, bones and other body parts of species of endangered wildlife. The team also rescued a large amount of live animals during the quarter, including 2 pileated gibbons, 2 pangolins and 2 slow loris.
