Successful field patrol in the Southern Cardamoms

Great work rangers! Chambok's rangers confiscated 29 pieces of threatened Siamese rosewood (0.467m3) worth of thousands of dollars from Kompong Speu's Aural district. Rosewood fetches a market price of between $30,000 and $50,000 per cubic meter.
Under the 2002 Forestry Law harvesting rosewood is prohibited, but that has not stopped loggers from decimating valuable trees.
