About the Clouded Leopard station

Major threats: ■ Poaching (10%) and ■ Logging (90%)

The Clouded Leopard Station (Chambak station) was opened in 2010 in an effort to combat illegal land grabbing and logging. Bordered to the east by many economic land concessions – an agreement that allows the beneficiary to clear land to develop industrial agriculture – the forest was under threat from land encroachment. The strong presence of our rangers has mitigated the threat of encroachment but the area is still rampant with illegal logging for luxury timber. The Chambak rangers have confiscated huge quantities of illegally harvested timber and have dismantled thousands of illegal charcoal kilns.

Sponsor Clouded Leopard station

Overview

There are three levels of sponsorship available: basic, mid and premium. The basic level is $5 per month, the mid level is $10 per month and the premium level is $20 per month. We ask for a 12-month minimum commitment, as a lot of work and effort goes into our sponsorship program, and it is not feasible to offer shorter terms.

Every sponsorship will receive an online printable packet.
This e-packet saves us money on printing and postage so every dollar you donate goes directly to the rangers stations.
