The snares are made of rope or metal. The thickness and the strength depends on the targeted animal. To build them it’s a fast process, they are basically lassos kept in tension by a branch and a trigger made out of bamboo.
Snares are the single greatest threat facing threatened species in Southeast Asia – a region supporting more threatened species than any area in the world.
