Mainland clouded leopard Neofelis nebulosa is one of the most beautiful and elusive of all wild cat species. Partially arboreal they prey on a variety of species including monkeys. The Cardamom Rainforest Landscape supports one of the most important clouded leopard populations globally as a result of the unstinting commitment of Wildlife Alliance to Direct Protection of Forests and Wildlife. However the species is also threatened by the illegal wildlife trade and their pelts are in demand for the Chinese trade. As such these videos of a pair of clouded leopard in a remote corner of the landscape are encouraging and inspiring our forest ranger teams.
