This morning, a truck forced its way through a mandatory Wildlife Alliance check point in Koh Kong towards O’Som. With the authority of Ministry of Environment officers, the rangers set up a check point to inspect vehicles on a common transit route. The truck driver didn’t stop for Ministry Of Environment officers and forced trough their barrier. The rangers pursued the truck and upon inspection of the culprit’s vehicle they found illegal tools used for hunting and logging. The driver was fined with 2,000,000.00 KHR (500 USD).
