The Green Peafowl Station ( Sre Ambel rangers) arrested one person for illegal logging inside the protected rainforest. The Wildlife Alliance rangers brought the logger to Sihanouk Ville DOE and the court sentenced him to prison. In Cambodia, using a chainsaw inside of protected forest is punishable by a prison sentence of 5 to 10 years. Just one chainsaw can create massive amounts of damage to the forest. A skilled logger can destruct up to one hectare in a single day. In 2017, eight Wildlife Alliance ranger stations confiscated 437 chainsaws.
