The Asian Elephant Station (Trapeang Rung station) rangers dismantled 80 animals traps from the forest floor. The Cardamom Rainforest Landscape, where these rangers patrol, is home to more than 50 IUCN red-listed species, all of which are at risk of getting caught in these snares. Easily set by poachers, these traps indiscriminately ensnare any animal that comes across them and pose one of the biggest threats to biodiversity in the region.
